The Proving Grounds is a special type of single-player scenario that allows players to both learn and demonstrate the core skills associated with a given role or class. Great theme, but they seem closer to Brewmaster in terms of having a higher skill cap.Temple of the White Tiger, Kun-Lai Summit Blood DK: I don’t really see them around anywhere.They recently got some big buffs as far as I know. Not really sure where they stand right now. Protection Warrior: the one I know the least about and see the least in my pug runs.Probably the one that interests me the least, but also likely the best one for my needs. Resto Druid is solid (though I still prefer my Sham for heals) and Balance is of course top tier DPS, and all 3 work well with night fae. They seem durable, albeit rather boring looking to play. Guardian: from what I’ve gathered, likely the safest/easiest option.Retribution is an okay DPS spec and I do enjoy Holy, as it does offer a very different playstyle than my current main (Resto Sham) They seem to go splat more than any other tank.
In my experience as a healer in Shadowlands, though, they seem to be very squishy. Protection Paladin: Very popular, great theme.Mistweaver is bottom tier and Windwalker is now bottom tier after “bug fixes”. I think it’s pretty difficult to pick up and learn, though. Brewmaster: my favorite tank thematically.Havoc has very little interest for me and isn’t doing super well. Another thing I do look at is offspec viability and playstyle because I prefer to play a class over a spec.īased on what I’ve read/seen, currently it looks something like… Which one is easiest to pick up and do well with, which one is the most engaging, etc. With that said, I’m curious to hear everyone’s thoughts about the tank options available. I’ve never tanked before, but it would be nice for our guild/group to have another tank option. One of those includes possibly picking up and learning a tank for mythic plus. Now that I’ve completed KSM, I’m considering new goals and projects to work on.
